YOUR DATA NEVER LEAVES YOUR DEVICE
ALL PROCESSING HAPPENS LOCALLY ON YOUR MAC. WE DO NOT COLLECT, STORE, OR TRANSMIT ANY OF YOUR DATA.

OVERVIEW

Folder To Text is designed with your privacy as the top priority. The application operates entirely on your local machine without any network connectivity or data transmission.

INFORMATION WE DON'T COLLECT

  • We do not collect any personal information
  • We do not track your usage or behavior
  • We do not use analytics or telemetry
  • We do not require an account or registration
  • We do not connect to any external servers
  • We do not access your files beyond what you explicitly select

DATA PROCESSING

LOCAL PROCESSING:

  • Files and folders you select are processed entirely on your Mac
  • Generated text output remains on your device
  • Session history is stored locally using Core Data
  • No data is transmitted over the internet
  • All operations occur within the app's sandbox

LOCAL STORAGE

The app stores the following information locally on your device:

  • Session History: Records of your folder conversions for your convenience
  • App Preferences: Your settings and customization choices
  • Temporary Files: Cache files during processing (automatically cleaned)

You can delete all local data at any time through the app's settings or by uninstalling the application.

PERMISSIONS

The app may request the following permissions:

  • File System Access: To read the folders and files you select for conversion

These permissions are only used for the app's core functionality and can be revoked in System Settings at any time.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Folder To Text does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services, analytics platforms, or external APIs.

ICLOUD

If you have iCloud Drive enabled on your Mac, your session history may sync across your devices as part of your iCloud backup. This is controlled entirely by your iCloud settings and Apple's privacy policies.

DATA SECURITY

Since all data remains on your device, security is managed by macOS's built-in security features. We recommend keeping your Mac updated with the latest security patches.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our app does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13 years of age.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
